This short animation film was created by Jenni Marban and Laura Varhegyi. It’s a frame by frame animation which was inspired by a poem from the german author Paul Celan titled 'Die Todesfuge'. It was written in 1948 and he dedicated the poem to the victims of the holocaust.

 

I was in charge of sound design and music scoring regarding this project. I did a voice over of the signature lines of the beginning and the ending verses of the poem. The challenge was to convey the darkness, cruelty and atmospheric tension building gradually through sound design and musical elements within the frame by frame animation.
